What personal data do We collect and why We collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture (if you have one) is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

We perform weekly analysis of the website’s data, such as visitor origin, time spent on the website’s page and the country the visitor is using for browsing. We do not have the technology to make any further extrapolations
ID30 Radar
- What we collect: your email address, the language you choose (English or French) and, if you give it, your first name. We also record the date of your consent.
- Why: to send you ID30 Radar, our free weekly newsletter. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box and confirming your email address.
- Who processes it: Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), our email provider, on servers in the European Union.
- Opens and clicks: our emails measure whether they are opened and which links are clicked, to improve the newsletter. You can block this by turning off images in your email software.
- How long: while you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we delete your data and keep only your email address on a do not contact list, so that we never write to you again.
- Your rights: you can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of each email. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete your data by writing to jaume@id30.org. You can complain to the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
Who We share your data with
We do not sell or share your data. We use a small number of service providers to run the site and the newsletter, such as Brevo for email. They process data only on our instructions.
How long do We retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on my website (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. When you subscribe to our newsletter ID30 Radar, your data is stored by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), our email provider, on servers in the European Union. Other than that data storage, your data will not be sent anywhere else as this website is privately owned.
